Event Particulars
Packet Pick-up: There are several opportunities for packet pickup with times and locations listed above. For all athletes, you must bring a signed waiver. Race day pick-up is available but not recommended as race morning is very busy with parking, warming up, and getting to the start line. If you are picking up your packet or registering on race morning please show up earlier than you normally would to allow time to do so. We will not be able to process new registration or hand out packets once the races start. Gear check will be provided.
Race Tops: Available sizes are listed during registration. In the final few days before the event, some sizes will sell out. Not all sizes may be available for same day registration.
Visit the swag table at the Expo after 9:00 AM for size exchange if you are interested in trading out the size you ordered for a different size!
Picking up race materials/packet for another participant(s):
In order to allow your packet to be picked up by anyone else but yourself, we require both of the following:
1. Signed Waivers by participant
2. Photocopy/picture of participant's driver license
IMPORTANT: If you are picking up for a couple, both people must sign their own waivers!!!
Aid Stations: There are three hydration points along the route located at mile 1.4, 3.5 and 4.7. All aid stations have water and electrolyte drink mix. We are proud to welcome Nuun Hydration as our "Official Drink" sponsor of the Coronado Valentine's Day race.
Race Day Parking: Tidelands Park is located at 2000 Mullinex Dr, Coronado, CA 92118 has approx 200 parking spots. The neighborhoods around Coronado offer plenty of on street parking if you do not park in Tidelands Park. It is highly recommended that you carpool with friends for the race and arrive early.
Bag Check: A bag check is available at the start line for your convenience.

Baby joggers or strollers: If you choose to run with a baby jogger, please seed yourself toward the back of the start line. It is your responsibility to make sure the baby jogger does not impede other runners, and you must take extra precaution to ensure your safety, your child's safety and the safety of the runners around you. We reserve the right to pull any person from the race who is endangering other runners or themselves.
Pets: Pets are not allowed on the course. This is to ensure runner safety and comply with liability insurance policies.
Headphones: iPods, mp3 players, etc are allowed during the race for any runner who is not competing for a cash prize. If you do run with headphones, it is requested that you keep one ear free to be able to hear safety vehicles.
Transfers: There are no transfers or refunds. While this may seem harmless to the parties perpetrating the unauthorized bib transfer, it does convey serious consequences to the organizers and participant field alike. From race results to finishers' awards being impacted as well as medical staff being able to correctly identify participants in need of treatment, it is imperative that the registration data associated with your race number does in fact belong to you, the participant.
Routes Changes: Routes are subject to change, due to unforeseen issues with weather, road construction or permitting requirements.
Cancellation Policy: Due to the number of race transfer requests and cancellations that occur in the weeks prior to a race we have the following policy that is in accordance with USATF Policy. Refunds will NOT be issued after a registration has taken place. Considerable effort goes into producing an event and funds are expended and applied in good faith based upon registration. If you would like to change your registration from one distance to another, you will be charged for the difference in price at the time of the change.
Please note: We love what we do and what we do is put on events. After months and months of planning, coordinating and making our very best effort to create a race experience that we consider the best in California the last thing we ever want to do is postpone or cancel a race. We also understand that athletes devote a significant amount of their time, money and effort preparing for a race. So, if we need to make the difficult decision to postpone or cancel a race it’s a great disappointment for us and we know it’s a great disappointment to you. Unfortunately, though, that is the risk we share. You may feel you are entitled to a full refund if we postpone or cancel a race, but this is not feasible given the costs incurred in the months leading up to race day, We suggest you purchase Race insurance during registration.
